So I don’t know about yall but I am definitely down for vacation.  I am currently on a sort of vacation right now. In case you couldn’t tell, I am not from NYC originally, in fact I live across the river.  Don’t knock it quite yet.  As a commuter into the city (which some of you are, don’t deny it, I see you on the PATH train there), I am always on the look out for interesting sunglasses to share.  Most of the time, I see the classic Ray Bans and aviator styles.  Just to let you know there are other styles out there, so don’t be shy.  Let the summer vacation be the place to show your stuff! Cat-Eye for Women:

Personally, I’ve grown to love the cat-eye style that Tom Ford presented last year.  Well, let the trend continue!

These are the frames I was talking about from Tom Ford.  I love these, but they are from last year.

These are more like it! Yves Saint Laurent has the classic style of cat-eye with a little twist. The cheetah print on the plastic as well as the gold arms of the sunglasses make the perfect combination!

For the Boys: Squarish Frames

This pair from Gucci is super chic, for the boys.  I love the thicker side arms and the boldness they create.  If you can find a pair with a bright color on the inside, it would make the sunglasses much more bold! And you’d stand out from all the other boring guys in black shades.  Plus, you can let your aviators rest for a bit before putting them back on for work. 

Remember that vacations are your friend! Take a vacation! You definitely deserve one, plus you can try out your new sunglasses.  Like a test drive, but for your sunglasses.

Look we are famous! As winter gets into gear we are constantly thinking of what sunglasses we can wear when.  While sometimes the snow makes me want to trade my sunnies for a pair of safety goggles, there are companies that make those super durable sunglasses that are perfect for the winter.  Christmas or rather the Holiday season is upon us which means we are out there shopping.  And if you are anywhere near NYC, you know the wind whips through anything and everything.

Love this look! The sunglasses take the cake though. They once again prove that it is nearly impossible for gold metal aviators to go out of style.  I can’t remember a time when these were not worn.  From the airforce to those of us stomping in Airforce Ones, this frame still has dominated.

Who doesn’t love the contrasting detail on the arm of the frame.  I personally love this style, especially in this color! It is perfect for everyday wear and for that upcoming winter beach trip.

Love these frames! They’re both over-sized and round which makes them perfect for any season.  I love the metal detail on the bridge of the nose on these. Plus the orange striped design on the arms of the sunglasses make them great to spice up your fall wardrobe.  If you’re like me and wear mainly black during the fall and winter season, then these frames are a great addition to your wardrobe.

Can I start by saying that I have never found Juicy Couture more amazing than I do this year!! Love these by Marc Jacobs! They have the beautiful temple detail that accentuates the red to golden gradient of the lens and frame.  Try not to fall in love with these! And both of these styles are 100% UV protected.  So you will look chic and still protect your eyes from the sun’s rays.
