Anyone up for some Tom Ford sunglasses? I love the new men’s and women’s lines for this spring! Mr. Ford always has something up his sleeve to set him apart from the competition.  I think it is definitely his effortless style that comes across in all of his designs.  But here the oversized bow frames are gorgeous! I can’t wait to see the rest of this collection!!

There are a few basic rules..

• If you have a small face, avoid large sunglasses.

• A larger face needs larger glasses.

• Generally, the frame shape should be the opposite of your face shape.            Find yours below…

OVAL

With a well balanced, oval face, most shapes will look great! Make sure that the frame is in proportion to the size of the face. This is the ideal face shape, so try the trendy oversized sunglasses, sporty wraps, rimless shields, or a classic rectangular shape- just about anything goes, like the Tom Ford Sunglasses pictured above.
 
ROUND

With a round face, the best shapes are rectangular and square. Choosing straight, angular lines will make the face appear longer and thinner.  Wide-frame and rectangular shaped sunglasses in deep, bold colors add definition, such as the Gucci Sunglasses pictured above.

SQUARE

With a square face, the best shapes are oval, round and cat-eyes. These shapes will reduce the angles and soften a square jaw. Make sure the top of the frames sit high enough on the face to downplay the jaw line. Try sunglasses with a thinner frame to soften the look.
 
HEART/DIAMOND

A diamond face shape is almost an oval where the widest point hits the midpoint of the sides of the face. With a heart shaped face, both the forehead and midpoint are wider than your lower face. Light-colored, rimless, semi-rimless, cat-eyes or straight tops will look best. These shapes will help balance the jaw line.  Make sure the frames do not sit too high on the face. Avoid extra large frames, heavy nose bridges, bold colors and square shapes!
